Sometimes I struggle with ideas and colours when making cards. I scour Pinterest or Google Images for inspiration, but sometimes when you 'sort' of know what you're looking for, it doesn't always jump out of the page!
So this week, I thought I would have a go at creating a card using the guidelines from a Challenge Blog. These usually are a weekly challenge that can be either a colour combo, a theme or even a sketch.
I chose 2 different blogs in the end, Global Design Project for the colour combination and Freshly Made Sketches for the Sketch.
Here's the brief I was given:
So, I had the colour combo all set out, and also the sketch that needed to be followed! Here's what I came up with:-
I used all of the colours in the #GDP077 colour combo + Very Vanilla as my free choice (just for the cardstock).
I kept it quite simple (and not too girly) as it was for one of Emily's 'boy' friends birthdays, so id been given STRICT instructions not to put any flowers or pink on it!
Hope you like it anyway, and here is the supply list should you want to re-create any of it yourself!
Dont forget if you spend more than £40/€60 then you can chose a FREE Sale-A-Bration item as well - more details are available if you click the catalogue on the right hand side.
